Chopin Album Project
Overview
What I did
Using only geometric shapes, I designed an abstract album cover for a piece of classical music. I was required to use various shapes, and principles of design.
Research
I familiarized myself with the history of Chopin’s, Raindrop. I then sketched compositions while listening to Chopin. While sketching, I focused on the principles of design, as well as, the emotions and meaning of the musical piece.
Design
After getting feedback on my sketches, I chose a few compositions to build in Adobe Illustrator.
Refine
I chose a composition to refine and began exploring color and typography.
