A Midsummer Poster Project

Overview

What i did

Using a variety of image-making techniques, I created posters for a performance of Shakespeare’s, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Three handcrafted posters for A Midsummer Night's Dream

Research

I studied the characters and themes in the play. Then I did visual research exploring the posters made by others as well as visual elements I might like to include. I also explored various typography that may contribute to the visual language of the overall poster.

Design

I began experimenting with a variety of image-making processes. I then began working with the images digitally, combining and editing in Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
